Schools in the UAE are using a growing mix of digital platforms, classroom displays and connected tools, making the way these technologies work together increasingly relevant to how technology is used in teaching. Epson and Classera have entered into a strategic partnership that brings Classera’s digital learning platform together with Epson’s projection and printing technologies.
Bringing Digital Learning Into the Classroom
Under the agreement, Classera’s AI-powered Learning Management System (LMS) and digital learning platform will be combined with Epson’s advanced projection and printing solutions. The companies say this will help educators bring digital content into physical classrooms and create more connected, engaging and personalized learning environments. The arrangement brings together the two companies’ respective experience in digital education and classroom technology, with the aim of supporting the changing needs of educators and learners across the UAE and wider region.
The announcement comes as the UAE continues to focus on the use of technology in education. It supports the Ministry of Education's focus on aligning educational outcomes with future skills and adopting advanced technology to enhance education outcomes, while also aligning with the UAE Centennial 2071 vision, which emphasizes excellent education and preparing future generations with the knowledge and skills needed to navigate a rapidly changing world.
“This new collaboration redefines the future of digital education at a crucial time. Classera’s smart system combined with Epson’s technology will give schools access to a connected ecosystem that strengthens digital learning and improves educational outcomes, empowering students and preparing them for the future.” Said Eng. Mohammad Almadani, CEO of Classera
Both companies already have an established presence in the UAE. Classera brings experience in digital education and has a presence in more than 45 countries, serving ministries, government entities, educational institutions, and organizations across the education and training sectors. Its Learning Super Platform provides an integrated digital ecosystem covering learning and training services.
Epson also operates in the UAE through its Dubai office and its Middle East Innovation Centre, which opened in Dubai Production City in 2025. The center allows the company to engage with customers and partners and to tailor and test solutions for the education sector.
Printing, Projection and Sustainability
The technology involved also includes Epson’s printing and projection products, with sustainability forming part of the company’s offering to schools and colleges. Epson says its Heat-Free printers consume less power than comparable laser printers, while its EcoTank printers use refillable ink tanks rather than traditional disposable cartridges. Its laser projectors feature efficient, long-lasting light sources that require minimal maintenance, giving schools options that take power consumption, maintenance and operating costs into consideration.
"Every student deserves access to engaging, high-quality learning experiences. This partnership reflects our commitment to collaborating with world-class partners to deliver practical solutions that support educators and learners, while also contributing to schools’ sustainability objectives." Said Husam Alzughayyar, Head of Sales, UAE, Epson
The two companies will bring together digital learning with Epson’s projection and printing technology through what they describe as intelligent and hybrid educational solutions. For schools, this means Classera’s learning platform can be used alongside the projection and printing equipment already central to many physical classroom environments. The companies plan to make these solutions available to schools and educational institutions in the UAE and wider region.
Bringing these technologies together reflects a broader shift in how schools are approaching digital infrastructure. Rather than treating learning platforms, classroom displays and printing systems as completely separate tools, there is growing value in making them work within the same teaching environment. For UAE schools, the more important question will be how easily these systems can fit into existing classrooms and whether they provide a practical improvement to the daily experience of teachers and students.
