Ziina, a licensed UAE fintech platform offering both acquiring and issuing services, has launched Ziina Card, its first digital card powered by Visa. Available directly in Apple Wallet, the card instantly transforms a user’s Ziina balance into spending power, allowing individuals and businesses to use funds the moment they are received. By partnering with Visa, Ziina ensures global acceptance, enhanced security, and access to exclusive rewards—advancing its mission to make money movement in the UAE faster and more intuitive.

The launch marks a major milestone for Ziina, following tens of thousands of user requests for the feature. It is the company’s most anticipated release since its founding, reflecting growing demand for instant, flexible, and secure payment options in the region.

“We’ve always believed that financial services should adapt to how people actually live and work,” said Faisal Toukan, Co-Founder and CEO of Ziina. “Ziina Card is the natural evolution of that vision – your money, always accessible, working the way you need it to.”

Salima Gutieva, Vice President and UAE Country Manager for Visa, stated: “Visa is delighted to partner with Ziina to bring instant, secure, and globally accepted spending power to users in the UAE. Ziina’s Visa card is a great example of how innovation can deliver faster, simpler payment experiences for consumers and businesses alike.”

The launch comes as the UAE continues its shift towards a cashless economy. SMEs make up more than 94% of companies in the country, contributing over 63% of GDP, yet many still face delayed payments that disrupt cash flow. At the same time, consumers increasingly expect immediate, frictionless payment options. Earlier this year, Ziina introduced Tap to Pay on iPhone, allowing businesses to accept contactless payments without hardware. With Ziina Card, the company completes the loop—helping users both receive and spend money instantly.

For businesses, the card delivers real-time cash flow management. SMEs and freelancers can now access funds immediately to pay suppliers, manage expenses, and control spending from within one ecosystem. Each transaction includes enriched data for smoother accounting, while full Central Bank licensing reinforces trust and security. By merging acquiring and expense management, Ziina positions itself as a leading financial partner for UAE businesses.

Through Visa, Ziina users also gain access to exclusive business rewards, including discounts on Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Adobe Acrobat Pro, Freshworks, SignEasy, and Zendesk—empowering SMEs to scale more efficiently.

For individuals, Ziina Card enables instant everyday spending. Whether paying for a ride home or splitting dinner costs, users can tap to pay anywhere Apple Pay is accepted. Each transaction retains its social context—showing who paid, what for, and why—while offering detailed insights within the Ziina app.

Building on Tap to Pay, Ziina Card establishes a complete ecosystem that enables the fastest way to get paid and the simplest way to spend. As the only licensed UAE startup connecting both sides of the payment journey, Ziina is redefining how money moves in the country’s digital economy.
