  1. How is your product or solution helping businesses or customers today?

Agentforce is the agentic layer of the Salesforce platform. It enables digital labour through the creation and deployment of agents. With Agentforce, organisations can build and deploy autonomous agents for various functions including sales, service, and marketing. These AI agents go beyond traditional chatbots by handling more complex, multi-step tasks, and can operate 24/7.

Agentforce allows organisations to automate routine and repetitive tasks like lead qualification, data entry, and order management, freeing up human employees to focus on more strategic and high-value work. That requires orchestration of different agents from different departments and with employees, reaching the level of Agentic Enterprise that constitutes Salesforce vision.

In terms of customer experience, agents provide instant, round-the-clock support, leading to faster response times and higher customer satisfaction.

Agents can also access and analyse vast amounts of data from across the Salesforce ecosystem to provide real-time insights and help with tasks such as generating personalised sales proposals or marketing copy.

  1. How do you see technology evolving in your sector over the next few years?

Agentic AI will continue to develop at a rapid pace. Organisations will use AI to operate more efficiently, with humans and AI agents working in tandem to complete tasks more efficiently and effectively. By taking on more repetitive tasks, agents will free up humans to focus on roles that require skills such as empathy, critical thinking, and creativity.

In healthcare, for example, agentic AI will enable hospitals and clinics to diagnose and treat patients more quickly, while healthcare professionals will oversee AI assistants that take on the task of checking scans for anomalies more quickly and accurately.

In the financial services sector, agentic AI will transform how banks and investment firms manage risk and detect fraud. AI agents will continuously monitor vast streams of transaction data, identifying suspicious patterns and anomalies in real-time. This frees up human analysts to focus on more complex cases and strategic risk management.

Similarly, in logistics, AI agents will optimize supply chain operations. They will analyse real-time data from inventory, weather, and traffic to predict delays and reroute shipments automatically, ensuring faster and more efficient delivery. This allows human logistics managers to handle unforeseen disruptions and improve customer relationships.

AI will play a major role in shaping every industry. At Salesforce we believe that agents’ greatest promise is not to replace humans, but to scale what makes us human. For example, machines cannot replace doctors and teachers, because patients and students also require compassion, empathy, trust, and human connection.

Agents can do incredible things — but not everything. That’s why businesses need guardrails to ensure that agents hand off work to humans that they can’t accomplish on their own.

Humans must always be able to observe and understand the actions that agents take, and to adjust them as necessary. That’s why Salesforce offers products like Agentforce Command Center, which gives humans the ability to understand agent performance, drive optimal outcomes, and ensure accountability.

Western Digital

Owais Mohammed, Regional Lead & Sales Director IMEA at Western Digital

What will your company be showcasing at GITEX this year?

At GITEX 2025, Western Digital will showcase storage solutions built for the AI era. With today’s unprecedented data growth driven by sophisticated systems and workloads, businesses need high-capacity, scalable, and cost-efficient storage to unlock AI’s true potential. Simply put, AI without HDDs is like a car without a fuel tank, it cannot move forward.

Western Digital will showcase its highest-capacity HDDs, including its 32TB Ultrastar® and 26TB WD Red® Pro products. In addition, Western Digital will demonstrate its platform solutions that enable scalable, disaggregated AI infrastructures. Only recently, the company’s OpenFlex™ Data24 4000 platform has been validated by MLPerf® Storage V2 results, proving the solution’s ability to support real-world AI workflows. Together, these innovations form the backbone of next-generation AI, cloud, and data-driven workloads.

1.       Why is participating at GITEX important for your company?

GITEX is the world’s largest tech and AI show, attracting customers, partners, and consumers from across the globe. For Western Digital, it is an excellent opportunity to demonstrate its latest solutions as part of the wider technology ecosystem while raising awareness of the fundamental role HDDs play in powering the AI era.

Equally important, the event provides a platform to strengthen relationships with customers, vendors, distributors, resellers, and system integrators. By engaging in meaningful discussions and aligning on shared priorities, Western Digital ensures that these partnerships translate into long-term, joint success.

2.       How is your product or solution helping businesses or customers today?

Data has become the new oil. It drives innovation, powers AI, and fuels economic growth. But storing and managing vast volumes of data requires efficiency, durability, and cost-effectiveness. HDDs deliver all three at scale.

Consider the UAE’s National Library and Archives (NLA). It houses millions of books, documents, and videos - most of which are not accessed daily but remain essential to preserve. Similarly, Western Digital’s HDDs provide the foundation for vast unstructured datasets that underpin AI and digital transformation. Without HDDs, hyperscalers couldn’t deliver affordable storage tiers, AI data lakes would shrink into shallow puddles, and enterprises would be forced into data poverty.

3.       How do you see technology evolving in your sector over the next few years?

HDD technology continues to evolve at a remarkable pace. In 2024, Western Digital engineers achieved a breakthrough by adding an 11th platter to the same 3.5-inch HDD form factor, a feat that required innovation across platter materials, actuator design, and the PCBA (printed circuit board assembly).

Looking ahead, Western Digital is qualifying its first HAMR (Heat Assisted Magnetic Recording) drives with hyperscalers. This technology will further increase areal density and extend HDD capacity. Beyond HAMR, the company has disclosed ambitious goals to achieve 100TB+ per drive by 2030 and is exploring new innovations such as heat-dot magnetic recording (HDMR). With capacities climbing upwards per drive, HDDs will continue to anchor next-gen storage architectures, giving organizations the breathing room to retain and analyse data that would otherwise be discarded.

4.       What role do you think AI will play in shaping the future of your industry?

AI is already reshaping the IT industry, driving unprecedented volumes of data ingestion, storage, analysis, and creation. To keep pace, businesses must rethink storage and IT infrastructure.

Efficiency, in both cost and power will be critical. Organizations are increasingly exploring disaggregated storage, where compute and storage can be scaled independently. Western Digital’s OpenFlex platform directly addresses this need, enabling customers to maximize GPU utilization while minimizing footprint, complexity, and acquisition cost.

As AI moves from pilots to full-scale deployment in the Middle East, storage will remain the cornerstone of success. Western Digital’s high-capacity HDDs and platform solutions provide the foundation for sustainable, AI-driven growth across industries.
