The partnership will focus on capital projects and supply chains, targeting the information gaps and manual processes that can slow industrial operations.

Industrial companies can have years of operational data at their disposal and still struggle to get the right information to the right people when decisions need to be made. Project records, supplier information and procurement documents often sit across separate systems, leaving employees to reconcile details and follow up on approvals manually. Aramco Digital and OrbitronAI are looking to address these problems through a commercial partnership to develop, deploy and commercialize AI agents for industrial operations, with Saudi Arabia as their starting market.

The agreement, signed at LEAP in Riyadh, combines Aramco Digital's industrial expertise and market reach with OrbitronAI's technology for connecting enterprise systems and coordinating AI-driven workflows. The companies plan to focus on capital productivity, supply chain performance and operational execution, with successful applications intended to become products that can be reused across similar industrial processes.

Applying AI to Everyday Industrial Work

The problems the companies want to address are familiar to businesses managing major projects and complex supply chains. Reviews and reconciliation can take time when information is spread across different systems, while limited visibility into suppliers, materials and logistics can make it harder to identify problems early. AI agents could help project teams gather information from multiple sources, flag inconsistencies and coordinate routine tasks that currently require repeated manual follow-up. In procurement, for example, bringing supplier and materials information together could help employees spot discrepancies sooner, while faster access to project records could reduce the time spent preparing reviews.

OrbitronAI says its platform, NovaOS, connects existing enterprise systems and coordinates AI workflows, combining AI reasoning with controlled execution. The company says critical calculations, controls and approvals remain subject to governance and human oversight. Such safeguards are important in industrial environments, where errors can affect spending, equipment and project schedules. Integrating the technology with existing systems will also require work, particularly where records are incomplete or different departments follow separate procedures.

Aramco Digital has pursued other initiatives to bring digital tools into industrial and enterprise operations, including a partnership with ServiceNow focused on enterprise workflows. The OrbitronAI agreement has a more specific focus on capital projects and supply chains, where information must move between teams before work can progress. Although the applications differ, both efforts involve fitting technology into established business processes rather than introducing software in isolation.

The companies intend to turn successful applications into products that can serve other industrial customers, but adapting software across different organizations can be difficult. Businesses often use different systems, maintain different data standards and require different approval procedures. A solution that works in one operation may need substantial adjustments before it can be used elsewhere, and customers will need evidence that the benefits justify the cost of implementation.

Saudi Arabia gives the partnership a starting point in a market with substantial energy and industrial activity. International expansion could follow if the companies demonstrate that their products work reliably across different operating environments. For now, the agreement establishes a plan to develop and commercialize industrial AI, not a record of completed deployments or verified savings. The next important development will be evidence of how the technology performs in actual operations and whether it helps customers reduce manual work, improve project coordination or avoid costly delays.
