The event highlighted how teams across the organisation are integrating AI into day-to-day workflows to develop more personalised and conversational customer experiences. Over two decades, Infobip has positioned itself as a provider of communications solutions that enable businesses to engage with customers at scale across multiple channels, with AI now playing a central role in that approach.

Discussions at DevDays emphasised that artificial intelligence is already embedded across Infobip’s operations, rather than being treated as a future objective. With a platform that reaches over seven billion mobile devices globally, the company is increasingly incorporating AI into both product development and go-to-market strategies, reflecting a broader industry shift towards AI-driven communications.

The event also underscored the importance of workforce development in supporting AI adoption. By focusing on internal capability building, Infobip is aiming to ensure that its engineering and business teams are equipped to work effectively with AI technologies, reinforcing the link between technical innovation and human expertise.

Izabel Jelenić, co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of Infobip, said: "We have always been innovators, it is part of our identity and our culture. The combination of who we are and the direction technology is evolving gives us the opportunity to move faster, build better, and continuously raise the bar. Artificial intelligence must be deeply embedded in the way we think, design, make decisions and execute. That is why we place particular focus on developing internal competencies and a deep understanding of artificial intelligence at all levels of the organisation - from engineering to business functions - in order to build a solid foundation for developing advanced AI solutions for the global market."

A key focus area presented at the event was AgentOS, Infobip’s platform for autonomous customer communications. The system integrates AI agents, human input, data, and communication channels into a unified environment, enabling businesses to manage interactions, automate responses, and escalate to human agents when required.

Saša Erak, VP Engineering at Infobip, added: "Being AI-first does not mean blindly automating processes, but deliberately embedding artificial intelligence into the way we design and improve our work. We are systematically reshaping our operating model: measuring where AI accelerates work, automating repetitive tasks and redirecting energy toward decisions and outcomes that AI cannot take over. Artificial intelligence brings speed, scalability and analytical power, while people retain judgement, creativity, context and trust."

The initiative reflects a wider trend among global technology firms investing in AI skills and infrastructure to support long-term innovation and operational efficiency.
